Some products, use string-excited type motor or dc motor (such as fruit juice machine, vacuum cleaner or hair dryer), they will have a serious EMI trouble, so it need to space reserved countermeasures when design. Some products use the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology (such as the treadmill and frequency conversion air conditioning), which use the high frequency technology, so they have serious EMC problem, add with big current and power, they modify are not easy. For the appliance with thermostat should also add click test.
EMF-the radiation from electromagnetic field to human body which assesses the size of radiation intensity to users when the household appliances in normal use. EMF testing to ensure the products radiation is under the certain reference level to protect human safety. The test is based on EN62233 standards.
