CPC and GCC are both certifications required for products by manufacturers or importers under the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA).

The main difference is that CPC is only a mandatory requirement for all children's products exported and sold in the United States for children aged 12 and under, while GCC applies to general or non children's products. For children's products, a Children's Product Certificate (CPC) is required, and a General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) is not required.

The difference between the basic information in the CPC certificate and the GCC certificate is that the tests in the CPC certificate must be a report issued by a third-party laboratory recognized by CPSC in order to be valid. The tests in the GCC certificate do not require mandatory testing by third-party laboratories accredited by CPSC, and can be conducted by general laboratories.

The CPC certificate and GCC certificate are self proclaimed certificates issued by manufacturers or importers, proving that their products have been tested and meet the corresponding regulatory requirements, and are a self proclaimed guarantee of innocence.
