Introduction to CE Certification
CE certification is mandatory in the European market (EU member states/Turkey) and is regarded as a passport for manufacturers to open and enter the European market. Whether products produced by enterprises within the EU or products produced by other countries, if they want to circulate freely in the EU market, they must be labeled "CE" to show that the products meet the basic requirements of the EU Directive "New Approaches to Technical Coordination and Standardization". This is a mandatory requirement of EU law for products.
Note: CE is limited to the basic safety requirements of products that do not endanger the safety of humans, animals and goods, not the general quality requirements.
27 EU member states: Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland and Sweden
Significance of CE Mark
The product marked with CE abbreviations meets the main requirements of the relevant European Directives, and is used to confirm that the product has passed the corresponding conformity assessment procedures and/or the manufacturer's declaration of conformity, thus truly becoming a pass for the product to be allowed to enter the EC market for sale. Industrial products with CE logo required by relevant directives shall not be listed and sold without CE logo. If a product that has been put up with the CE mark enters the market and finds that it does not meet the safety requirements, it shall be ordered to take it back from the market. If it continues to violate the relevant CE mark provisions of the directive, it will be restricted or forbidden to enter the EU market or be forced to withdraw from the market.
Note: CE mark is safety qualification mark, not quality qualification mark.
